Shonda has a background in education. She worked as a preschool teacher for two years before transitioning into a role as a counselor's clerk for special education at an elementary school. Her most recent position was as a college scholarship accountant.
Shonda finds her work at Horizons enjoyable due to the atmosphere of community, family, and support.
She has a passion for research, learning, and attention to detail. In her free time, she enjoys genealogy, reading, and baking. Shonda also loves to travel and explore new places, whether it's walking on beaches or hiking through mountains and woods.
Originally from Houston, Texas, Shonda and her husband now live in Arkansas where they enjoy exploring nearby lakes, parks, and flea markets.
