Kenneth Stewart

Senior Ministry Strategist

As an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church, Kenneth has 20 years of ministerial experience serving local churches across Pennsylvania and Ohio. Kenneth received his Bachelor of Arts in Bible from Messiah College (Grantham, PA) and Masters of Divinity from Evangelical Seminary (Myerstown, PA), where he graduated magna cum laude.

While serving a church in Piqua, Ohio, Kenneth led a capital campaign. He quickly realized how the process of growing generous givers could enable the local church to accomplish her mission to grow disciples and expand God’s Kingdom. Two churches, two campaigns, and $1 million later, Kenneth felt called to join the Horizons team and come alongside other churches and nonprofit organizations to further their mission and impact.

While in Pennsylvania, Kenneth was privileged to serve as President of a nonprofit organization with an annual operation budget of $2 million. This experience bolstered his understanding of both church and nonprofit contexts. He is passionate about helping leaders overcome their fear of fundraising and closing the gap between finances and faith. As a firsthand witness of the glorious unity that results from a well-integrated annual financial plan, along with the powerful impact of a capital campaign, he is eager to help others experience the same.

Kenneth currently resides in Ohio and serves as Senior Pastor of Ware’s Chapel United Methodist Church. When he’s not leading the local church, Kenneth can be found enjoying his family, riding his motorcycle, or coaching the local school district’s varsity girls basketball team (go Blazers!).
