Jayson is a gifted leader who appreciates the daily challenges of pastoring while leading a congregation through change and growth. Currently serving as the lead pastor of New Life Bible Church, Norman, Oklahoma, Jayson values each opportunity to make the Bible come alive for all generations in a practical and transformative way.
Jayson previously served as the Community Groups/Missions Pastor at People’s Church in Oklahoma City, a multi-cultural church where he oversaw ministries on two campuses. He also served as the Next Gen Pastor at Life.Church, Oklahoma, where Jayson planted satellite campuses and built teams to lead large children’s and youth ministries.
Jayson was appointed by the Governor of Oklahoma to the State Advisory Group on Juvenile Delinquency and Prevention where he applied principles of successful youth ministry in communities with high numbers of at-risk youth. As a result, hundreds of young people changed their life trajectories and found renewed life purpose.
Jayson has a Bachelor’s degree in microbiology from the University of Oklahoma. He is married to Simi, who is a Christian speaker and author as well as a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Jayson, Simi, and their children, Moriah and Gideon, enjoy traveling and eating delicious (and spicy) food. They also enjoy time at the beach and the mountains, as long as they can always come home to Oklahoma. They are raging OKC Thunder and University of Oklahoma Sooner fans. Mostly they like to laugh hard, loud, and often.
